“What ever is the issue regarding the campaign TV Ad, we believe, must be resolved legally without affecting the entire organization,” sabi sa open letter.

“Mass Media play a vital role in society, in the daily lives of the people. It is a source of information and knowledge; and of course, entertainment… In the Philippines, where many still do not have access to the web or have the budget to spend hours browsing in an internet shop, television and radio are their only means to connect with the rest of the nation and perhaps, the world, for free, with just a simple device called antenna… 21%* of our kababayan are surviving on P125 or less a day. While many are trying to make ends meet on below minimum wage income. In order to have some respite from their daily grind, our poor kababayan would gather around a sari-sari store with a TV set; or outside the door and windows of a house whose owner is generous enough to let them watch TV with their family. At the very least they listen to the radio. Be it news, a tele-serye, radio-drama or music, important lessons can always be learned,”

“This will have implications on our very source of livelihood and will definitely affect our families, especially those who are still providing for their children’s education up to college,” ayon pa sa open letter.
