Humingi na raw ng paumanhin si Philippine Women’s National Football Team coach Let Dimzon sa naging pahayag nito sa media na kikiam ang inihain sa kanilang ng Southeast Asian Games partner na Whitewood Hotel.
“The coach who released a statement to the media has repeatedly apologized to our staff and management for the erroneous kikiam comment
This coach admitted that she was not present during the breakfast buffet. She saw the chicken sausage in a plastic container (which is not a hotel container, as we do not use plastic for packed meals) adn assumed that this was the full breakfast offering” sabi ng Whitewood Hotel.
Magugunita na inulan ng batikos ang mga organizers ng SEA Games matapos iulat ng mainstream media ang kikiam comment ni Dimzon.
“I’m not sure kung paano ang arrangement ng Philippines Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC), but the quality and quantity of food is not enough… Sa variety din, like for this morning, hindi enough ‘yung rice and kikiam and egg. Walang nutrients… Supposedly, this is an international competition, it should be international course. Pero I think, baka ‘yung budget na binibigay ng PHISGOC is not enough to cover ‘yung ganoong klase ng food,” komento ni Dimzon na nilabas na kinalat ng media.
Sa isang liham, sinabi ni Whitewoods President at Chairman of the board Edgardo Capulong kay Philippine Sports Commission chairman at SEAG chief of mission William Ramirez na hindi “kikiam” kundi “chicken sausage” ang kanilang inihain para sa mga manlalaro ng SEA Games.
“We have proof of this and the PHISGOC food audit team in the hotel that are on top of the food inspection during, before and after cooking and during meal time, can attest to the fact that it was not ‘kikiam’… The other Pinoy athletes also know thay they ate chicken sausage. We never serve kikiam because we do not have it and it is not in our menu… Our food serving is generous because we decided a free and open buffet service complete with egg omelet station that is not part of our contract,” paliwanag ni Capulong.
