“Before this summer I spoke to Maria Ressa. She has just lost a made-up case and I was so worried about the human rights situation in the Philippines. And I said: ‘Maria, what can we do as the international community? And she said: ‘You Hannah, democracy dies in darkness. So, What you should do is shedding light on the situation’,” boladas ni Neumann.
“But Duterte, the President of the Philippines, who is encouraging his own services to kills ten of thousand of people,” patutsada pa ni Neumann.
“You stayed here for a year and you know everything? I bet you didn’t even go through the poorest of the poor community. You only “mingled” with the community who fed you with these kinds of information, who doesn’t really know how the Philippines is.. before and during the current government. If you feel that we (the Filipinos) who have lived and breathe here, will allow your kind to destablize our government.. you’re mistaken. Anything the US and Europe touches turns to ashes.. so please stay away.” – J. Joaquin
“The mere fact that you are still able to talk with your FRIEND, Maria Ressa, means that she has not been silenced by our government. It is your friend that has abused Democracy and has weaponized Journalism to malign a private citizen and our President. It’s either you are biased or a lazy parliamentarian because you only listen to Ressa’s side of the story. Go ahead and convince the EU to stop trading with our country. You have every right to make a fool of yourself.” – J. Colendrino
