Namamakyaw ng Alcohol at Masks, Paparusahan ng P2 Million at Kulong na 15 Taon!

Dahil sa mga balita ng pag-akyat ng kumpirmadong kaso ng coronavirus sa Pilipinas, may ilang nagsamantala sa sitwasyon. Pinapakyaw ang mga vital commodities tulad ng alcohol at facial masks at saka ibebenta sa mas malaking halaga. Dahil sa ginagawa ng mga hoarder, posibleng tataas ang mga presyo ng bilihin.

Nagbanta namana ng Department of Trade and Industries sa mga nananamantala sa health crisis. Sa Republic Act 7581 o The Price Act at Republic Act 7394 o Consumer Protection Act, maaaring maparusahan ng pagkakakulong ng aabot sa 5 hanggang 15 taon ang mga salarin. Pagmumultahin din daw ng P5,000 hanggang P2 milliona ng mga may sala.

Nagbabala naman ang MalacaƱang na ipaparesto ang sinumang mananamantala sa coronavirus (covid-19) situation.

Nanawagan din ang gobyerno sa mga tao na maging mahinahon. Pinayuhan din ng Palasto ang mga miyemrbo ng media mag-ulat ng wasto.

“The Palace also reiterates its appeal to our countrymen to stay calm yet vigilant, as well as not to believe or spread any false information on COVID-19… We similarly ask media outlets to refrain from exaggerating or amplifying reports that may only affect the mindset of the public and instead help in disseminating helpful tips on how to prevent the spread of the virus,” paliwanag ni Panelo.
