“Don’t f– with me,”
Pero I distinctly recall that Drilon said something, ‘Presidente Duterte, do not tinker with that contract becuase we will end up paying so many billions of pesos’. Senator Drilon, are you one of those who crafted the contract? I am asking you. I’m ready to go down.
“We will expose them. And I will insist that they be tried for economic sabotage… I will file this, economic sabotage, and I will arrest them all. I will let them taste of a prisoner’s life… They do not pay corporate income tax. And the corporate income tax they pass on to people as part of what you pay for the water…They are the ones distributing water to consumers. Sometimes they stop the supply,” dagdag pa ni Pangulong Duterte.
“Most notable were the prohibition against government interference in rate-setting and the provision on indemnity for possible losses in the event of such government interference… PRRD was visibly upset, if not angered, and we’re expecting him to make a public statement today on the govt’s intended course of action,” paliwanag ni Guevarra.
