‘Wag natin small-in role ng entertainment for mental health, especially at a time when people are cooped up. Therapeutic sa kanila ‘yan… Parang kasama mo ‘yan sa bahay e. Hindi mo kasama mga katrabaho mo, and not every one is married, not every one has children… so parang nawalan ka ng kapamilya,” sabi ni Angara.

“Standing with ABS-CBN in the time of the pandemic. C’mon Congressmen make it happen pls. Thousands of families will lose jobs and incomes. Millions of Filipinos going crazy stuck at home will lose a source of entertainment and life saving information. If there are shortcomings then fine or punish the wrongdoers but this is clearly not right,” dagdag pa ni Angara.

“He is telling NTC, in effect, he is directing NTC to depart from legislative tradition and from practice. That was unnecessary, I think,” saad ni Angara.

“The NTC commissioners risk subjecting themselves to prosecution under the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act should they issue the unlawful PAs (provisional authorities) to ABS-CBN Corporation and ABS-CBN Convergence in the absence of franchise,” banat ni SolGen Calida.
