“Davao City for the second time this year, we have zero cases for a day, actually the cases have started dropping in the last week of February… Hopefully, it will continue to drop because our mayor told us that our target is to hit a single digit, with or without the vccine… Out of the 13,553 our total recoveries, it reached up to 12,593 with the 27 new recoveries this morning. So that will account for a little more than 92% of the total cases… In Davao, we have maintained the general community quarantine and that is the most important because we have seen the downtrend of our cases, we were able to sustain the risk assessment level through the GCQ… We have to ensure and our border control measures have been already reinstated including the RT-PCR requirement, particularly at the Davao International Airport, that will help a lot in suppressing possible entrance of the new variants in Davao City… I call on the public to continue to be vigilant and cooperate and not be complacent. Not all carriers can be identified, majority of these cases are asymptomatic, so, we do not know which one is a carrier,” sabi ni Davao City Health Office acting health Dr. Ashely Lopez.
